What time do you usually leave
the office?
Normally around 7pm.

What do you do at
weekends?
Most weekends are spent on or around the rugby
pitch.
Sunday mornings I coach my son’s rugby team and on Saturdays I play
for Clifton RFC.

What’s your favourite
restaurant?
Le Colombe D’Or in St Paul de Vence near Nice,
France. This is a favourite from my honeymoon.

If you weren’t in your current
job, what would you be doing?
As much skiing as physically
possible.

Who is your mentor or role
model?
James Fenner, my former boss at GE before moving
into my current role, and, of course my father.

What is the best thing about
your job?
Being able to work with and lead a great team in
what has been a challenging environment.

What was your biggest career
mistake?
Leaving my first company because I had a terrible
boss, but on the plus side it meant I moved to GE.

What car do you
drive?
Family considerations have just made me trade in my
Audi RS6 for a Ford S Max.

What books/blogs/periodicals
are you currently reading?
I am always carrying around the
latest copy of The Economist and right now am reading Alan
Sugar’s biography.

What is on your CD player or
MP3 player at the moment?
I’ve got more than 5,000 songs
on my iPod so it’s difficult to say, but I most recently downloaded
Escape to Plastic Beach, the latest Gorillaz album.
