Chris McClure is set to join law firm Shoosmiths as a partner in
their corporate team. At Shoosmiths, McClure will focus on asset
finance and project finance, as well as developing the corporate
teams’ client base.
After studying at the College of Law, Guildford, McClure trained
at Norton Rose and qualified in 1990. He joined Blake Lapthorn
Tarlo Lyons and was made partner in 1997. McClure was head of asset
finance, and specialised in big ticket transactions mainly
concerning aircraft and rail rolling stock.
McClure’s rail clients have included Hitachi, Porterbrook
Leasing Company, Stagecoach Group and Freightliner. In aviation,
McClure has recently advised Swiss International Air Lines, TUI
Travel/First Choice Airways, National Air Traffic Services, and
Rolls-Royce.
