Ludwig Fischer
has been appointed to set up lease consultancy Invigors’ German
operations. Fischer joins Invigors from CIT, where he was regional
sales manager for Germany, as well as responsible for Dell
Financial Services’ public sector vendor finance programmes in the
EMEA region. Before CIT he was managing director of GE Capital
Solutions’ German subsidiary.

DENTON WILDE
SAPTE

In its annual partner
elections, law firm Denton Wilde Sapte has promoted asset finance
lawyer Sarah
Dyke
to partner. Dyke specialises in general
leasing, aviation, film finance and middle-ticket asset finance,
and has worked with DWS since 1999, representing clients such as GE
Capital Solutions and Alliance & Leicester.

BVRLA

The British Vehicle Rental and
Leasing Association has appointed a new chairman as well as four
new representatives. Kevin McNally,
LeasePlan’s regional senior vice president for Northern Europe and
the Americas, replaced Nigel Stead as chairman.

Richard Hughes has
joined law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner as a partner, where he will
advise on asset finance as well as structured finance,
securitisation and property finance.
Hughes, who brings BLP’s London banking and capital markets
practice up to 16, joins from US firm Sidley Austin.

WASA KREDIT

Lennart Käll has been
appointed the new president of Wasa Kredit, the finance company
part of the Swedish-headquartered Länsförsäkringar Alliance. Käll,
who will take his position in the late autumn, will replace Olof
Stjernberg, who is retiring.
Joining from Ticket Travel Group, where he was president and CEO,
Käll has held several high profile roles, including president of
ICA Banken, president of SEB Finans and President of
TryggFinans.

GE CAPITAL

Following its recent
reorganisation (see Leasing Life, May 2009), GE Capital has
announced its senior leadership team in the UK is to be headed by

Jenkins

Gavin Cosson
has joined Burlington Credit as repossessions case manager. He has
10 years’ experience in credit management and worked most recently
at Grosvenor Credit Management.

HELPHIRE

Mark Adams, the
chief executive of Helphire, has left the firm, which is to make
180 staff redundant this year on top of 130 job losses already
announced. Taking up the reins are Richard Rose as
executive chairman, and Martin Ward as
group managing director.

Norton Rose has announced that
Jeremy
Edwards
has been appointed global head of banking
at the international legal practice. Edwards replaces Stephen Parish who was
made chairman of the partnership. Replacing Edwards as head of the
