HSH Nordbank’s Transportation Finance
division has received five awards, including one for their
participation in the Angel Trains sale, from periodical Jane’s
Transport Finance magazine, at the publication’s gala awards dinner
in London this year.

This is the third year running that HSH has picked up multiple
awards from Jane’s, and this year the roster included awards for
‘European Rail Deal of the Year’, ‘Aircraft Finance Innovator of
the Year’, ‘Aircraft Debt Deal of the Year – Middle East’, the
Aircraft Capital Markets Award, and ‘Airport Finance Deal of the
Year Europe’.

Nordbank won ‘European Rail Deal of the Year’ as part of the
banking syndicate that acquired British rail lessor Angel Trains.
Nordbank acted as mandated lead arranger for senior and junior debt
during the sale, the volume of which was €4.1 billion.

The ‘Aircraft Finance Innovator of the Year’ award was given for
Nordbank’s work globally in aircraft financing, both as a deal
arranger and an asset manager. Nordbank won ‘Aircraft Debt Deal of
the Year – Middle East’ for acting as lead arranger of a banking
syndicate acquiring a 21 aircraft portfolio in Dubai.
