The Bank of Nova Scotia’s IT hiring activity increases 9.9% in June 2021

Canada-based company The Bank of Nova Scotia’s IT hiring an increased 9.9% in June 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

The company’s overall hiring activity an increased by 9.96% in June 2021 when compared with May 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 10.1% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2021, and recorded a 0.75% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops The Bank of Nova Scotia IT hiring in June 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by The Bank of Nova Scotia, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 60% in June 2021, and a 23.33% growth over May 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 17.57% in June 2021, and registered an 18.18% an increase. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 10.54% in June 2021, a 2.5% drop from May 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at The Bank of Nova Scotia

North America emerged as the leading region in the global banking and payments IT hiring activity in June 2021 with a 96.76% share, which marked a 17.38% growth over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 2.43%, registering a 200% month-on-month growth. South & Central America was the third leading region with a 0.81% share and a 75% drop over May 2021.

Canada commanded a leading presence in the region’s banking and payments industry IT hiring activity with an 88.11% share in June 2021, a 17.27% growth over May 2021. the US featured next with a 6.76% share, flat growth over the previous month.Mexico recorded a 1.89% share, an increase of 250% compared with May 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead The Bank of Nova Scotia IT hiring activity in June 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 60%, up by 9.36% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 26.49% share, a growth of 24.05% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 12.97% share, up 37.14% over May 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.54%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
