Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Standard Chartered IT hiring in May 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Standard Chartered, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 44.41% in May 2021, and a 13.49% growth over April 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 34.78% in May 2021, and registered a 77.78% an increase. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 13.98% in May 2021, an 181.25% rise from April 2021.

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global banking and payments IT hiring activity in May 2021 with a 95.65% share, which marked a 57.14% growth over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 4.04%, registering an 18.75% month-on-month decline. Middle East & Africa was the third leading region with a 0.31% share and a flat growth over April 2021.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s banking and payments industry IT hiring activity with a 64.91% share in May 2021, a 37.5% growth over April 2021. Singapore featured next with a 13.98% share, up 136.84% over the previous month.Hong Kong recorded a 5.9% share, an increase of 90% compared with April 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Standard Chartered IT hiring activity in May 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 54.35%, up by 38.89% from April 2021. Mid Level positions with a 43.48% share, a growth of 68.67% compared with the previous month.
