US-based company PayPal Holdings’s IT hiring declined 1.1% in June 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

The company’s overall hiring activity an increased by 3.46% in June 2021 when compared with May 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 37.37% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2021, and recorded a 5.12% down over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops PayPal Holdings IT hiring in June 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by PayPal Holdings, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 79.74% in June 2021, and an 11.01% drop over May 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 7.79% in June 2021, and registered a 21.05% decline. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 7.27% in June 2021, a 12.5% drop from May 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at PayPal Holdings

North America emerged as the leading region in the global banking and payments IT hiring activity in June 2021 with a 49.09% share, which marked a 10.43% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 41.82%, registering a 21.08% month-on-month decline. South & Central America was the third leading region with a 5.45% share and a 75% growth over May 2021.

In the fourth place was Europe with a share of 2.08% and a month-on-month an increase of 14.29%.Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.56%, registering a 100% rise over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s banking and payments industry IT hiring activity with a 48.83% share in June 2021, a 10.05% decline over May 2021. India featured next with a 34.81% share, down 10.67% over the previous month.Guatemala recorded a 5.45% share, an increase of 75% compared with May 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead PayPal Holdings IT hiring activity in June 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.26%, down by 30.95% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 31.95% share, a growth of 48.19% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.79% share, up 66.67% over May 2021.
