KBC Group’s IT hiring activity increases 23.1% in June 2021

Belgium-based company KBC Group’s IT hiring an increased 23.1% in June 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

The company’s overall hiring activity an increased by 16.84% in June 2021 when compared with May 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 24.74% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2021, and recorded a 1.11% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops KBC Group IT hiring in June 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by KBC Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 53.97% in June 2021, and a 19.4% growth over May 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 16.81% in June 2021, and registered an 8.78% an increase. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 14.41% in June 2021, a 51.65% rise from May 2021.

Europe drives IT hiring at KBC Group

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global banking and payments IT hiring activity in June 2021 with a 95.2% share, which marked a 25.1% growth over the previous month.

North America stood next with 2.51%, registering a 20% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 2.3% share and a 69.23% growth over May 2021.

Czech Republic commanded a leading presence in the region’s banking and payments industry IT hiring activity with a 58.98% share in June 2021, a 24.18% growth over May 2021. Belgium featured next with a 20.04% share, up 50% over the previous month.Bulgaria recorded a 14.41% share, an increase of 7.81% compared with May 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead KBC Group IT hiring activity in June 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.67%, up by 26.11% from May 2021. Entry Level positions with a 12.32% share, a growth of 47.5% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 5.01% share, down 26.15% over May 2021.
