US-based company JPMorgan Chase’s IT hiring increased 2.1% in July 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 4.67% in July 2021 when compared with June 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 28.7% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2021, and recorded a 1.13% down over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops JPMorgan Chase IT hiring in July 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by JPMorgan Chase, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 85.41% in July 2021, and an 8.83% drop over June 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 9.45% in July 2021, and registered a 1.6% decline. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 3.08% in July 2021, a 20% drop from June 2021.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at JPMorgan Chase

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global banking and payments IT hiring activity in July 2021 with a 49.61% share, which marked a 17.23% growth over the previous month.

North America stood next with 37.7%, registering a 28.67% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 9.76% share and a 19.15% drop over June 2021.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 2.47% and a month-on-month decline of 2.04%.Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.46%, registering a 125% rise over the previous month.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s banking and payments industry IT hiring activity with a 46.17% share in July 2021, a 20.35% growth over June 2021. the US featured next with a 37.7% share, down 28.67% over the previous month.United Kingdom recorded a 9.19% share, decline of 16.36% compared with June 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead JPMorgan Chase IT hiring activity in July 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.46%, down by 8.5% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 26.3% share, a decline of 11.72% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Senior job ads with 7.81% share, up 10.95% over June 2021, while Entry Level postings accounted for 3.44%, recording a month-on-month decline of 29.47%.
