Spain-based company Banco Santander’s IT hiring rose 122.2% in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 189.21% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 9.05% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 3.93% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Banco Santander IT hiring in August 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Banco Santander, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 44.26% in August 2021, and an 114.22% rise over July 2021, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 18.52% in August 2021, and registered growth of 258.62%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 15.23% in August 2021, a 317.07% rise from July 2021.
Europe drives IT hiring at Banco Santander
Europe emerged as the leading region in the global banking and payments IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 64.38% share, which marked a 60.31% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 14.78%, registering a flat month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 13% share and a 595.24% rise over July 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 7.66% and a month-on-monthn flat growth. Mexico City stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.18%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
Poland commanded a leading presence in the region’s banking and payments industry IT hiring activity with a 35.35% share in August 2021, a 10.38% decline over July 2021. Spain featured next with a 20.21% share, up 3142.86% over the previous month. US recorded a 12.91% share, an increase of 625% compared with July 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Banco Santander IT hiring activity in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 83.44%, up by 148.54% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with an 11.4% share, a growth of 300% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 5.16% share, down 7.94% over July 2021.
