Italy’s Banca Agrileasing to support SME firms expanding in Tunisia
Italian lessor Banca Agrileasing is offering to support its SME-sized customers wanting to expand their business activities in Tunisia. Earlier this month the companys management team met in Rome with the ambassador of Tunisia, Habib Achour, to discuss the opportunities for Italian firms that look at leasing as way of financing their activities in the North African country. During the meeting, the ambassador said Tunisia was keen to develop a preferred channel with Banca Agrileasing, giving the lessors customers information about investment and business opportunities in the country.
German equipment investment down by 16.2 % in Q1 2009
German companies investment in equipment dropped by over 16 percent in the first quarter of 2009, figures from the German Federal Statistical Office have shown. According to the figures, during Q1 2009 German enterprises invested 16.2 percent less in machinery, equipment and vehicles than in the last quarter of 2008.
GE’s Tip Trailer Services to supply refrigerated trailers for ASDA
GEs Tip Trailer Services has been chosen as the preferred supplier of ambient and refrigerated trailers for ASDA. Northgate agrees on refinancing terms with lenders

Lombard signs £12 million deal with the AA for recovery vehicles
Lombard Vehicle Management (LVM) will supply 167 recovery vehicles to the Automobile Association (AA) in a deal worth almost £12 million (14 million). The asset finance company, which has already provided the AA with around 2,400 assistance vans and other types of vehicles, will supply the new vehicles between now and the end of 2010 under a five-year operating lease agreement.
Swedbank to increase internet services to clients with leasing contracts
Swedbank is to provide a series of additional internet services to allow its clients to keep track of their lease contracts, the company said. The leasing arm of the Nordic bank, which operates in Sweden and the Baltic countries, said that customers will be able to obtain a complete overview of their leasing and instalment contracts in the internet bank. It said that clients will be able to access the contracts, grouped by product area, and view unpaid invoices, which can then be immediately paid online
