Leasint scoops ?119m renewable energy deal
Italys leasing giant Leasint has won a large renewable energy deal with Enel Green Power, part of Italian energy provider Enel Group.
UniCredit Leasing to finance 3D projectors
The lessor said that the new agreement with Cinemeccanica, whose customers include Odeon UK and Warner Bros International, will allow cinema owners and chains to finance high-definition equipment such as 3D projectors.

The Grenke Group reported business volume of 325.6m for the first six months of 2010, 42.5% greater than 2009s corresponding first-half volume. Based on the strong result, the group has revised its new business target upward, hoping to achieve a 20% increase on 2009s total.
Lex Autolease fuels Sainsbury’s
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has won a £1.7m (2m) van deal with Arcus Engineering, which operates the refrigeration maintenance contract in the South-East for Sainsburys supermarkets. The 80-strong vehicle fleet comprising Transporter and Caddy vans is being supplied on a contract hire agreement and funded by vehicle lessor Lex Autolease. Wendy Williamson, commercial sales manager at Volkswagen LCV dealer Abridge Van Centre in Loughton, Essex, said: We continually work hard on providing a high level of customer service and developing our links with local businesses and we believe this acquisition is evidence of that.
Mixed results as car values up, van prices down
Car values continue to strengthen with prices rising by 0.6% across the market, Manheim Remarketing reported last month. Dealer part-exchange values rose by 3% between April and May, while manufacturer stock rose in value by 1.6%
Hitachi Capital wins sole car leasing deal with Arriva
Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions has helped train and bus operator Arriva reduce carbon emissions and savings after being selected as its sole company car lease supplier. The transport specialist chose to work with the Hitachi Capitals vehicle solutions arm six months ago, with the lessor looking after all of Arrivas fleet requirements, comprising more than 400 vehicles The lessor said that Arriva has achieved a 30gkm carbon reduction across new company car models for middle managers, and monthly rental savings of 8 percent since consolidating its car fleet requirements
HP FS global Omnicom deal
HP Financial Services (HP FS) has signed an agreement with marketing and communications company Omnicom. HP FS will now provide IT leasing services to Omnicom brands globally in a deal valued at up to $25m (20m) a year.
Azule signs with Editworks
Media and broadcast finance specialist Azule has been chosen by post-production house Editworks to finance two new SR decks for its Glasgow and London operations. Editworks technical director Roger Cumner said: Azules strong understanding of the media and broadcast industry makes them uniquely qualified to advise us on our highly niche leasing requirements.
