Hypo Alpe-Adria wipes board clean in Slovenia

Austrias Hypo Alpe-Adria has replaced its entire leasing management in Slovenia amid mounting speculation of financial irregularities within the structure. The sudden replacement last week has been followed by confirmation by local police authorities of an ongoing investigation in the lenders Slovenian banking and leasing units. Slovenian police spokesman Drago Menegalija said that currently no procedures are being carried out in connection with the change of management.

Kevin Jones and Nick Simpson have joined the board of the UKs National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers as it steps up activity within the asset finance sector.Jones, who is managing director of Omega Commercial Solutions, becomes chairman for 2011 and 2012

The leasing industry charity Cancer Journey, which holds its annual dinner in December, is to merge its activities into Macmillan Cancer Support, after three years of successful fundraising. The Leasing Industry Christmas Charity Lunch raised £6,000 for the charity at the end of last year, with help from its special guest, former Welsh rugby union fly half Phillip Bennett.
