Bombardier Transportation and AB Transitio, a Swedish rolling
stock company, have agreed on the delivery of 11 three-car
trains.

The deal is valued at approximately €96 million and includes an
option for five additional trains, the Berlin-headquartered company
said.

The Bombardier CONTESSA trains will be leased by Swedish
operators Länstrafiken Kronoberg, Kalmar Läns Trafik and
Hallandstrafiken

The new trains will run in the Oresund region, between Sweden
and Denmark, and will be managed by local traffic authorities
co-operating in Oresund and Trafikstyrelsen in Denmark.

AB Transitio’s MD Bo Fredriksson said: “CONTESSA trains are
already part of our fleet and we are pleased to increase the number
of CONTESSA vehicles in order to respond to passenger growth in the
Oresund traffic.”

The total number of Bombarider trains ordered by Swedish and
Danish customers has now reached 111, Bombardier said.
