Welcome to
the Leasing Life Future Leaders special, showcasing 30 of the
industry’s rising stars. Many of them are already high achievers,
while others may only have just begun their careers. Common among
them is the potential to make a difference.
The list is compiled based on
nominations made by the individuals, their colleagues and
employers. We hope it will shine a light on the emerging talent
within asset finance and begin a debate about what skills need to
be nurtured in order to build a strong future for the industry.

The list demonstrates how dynamic
and diverse the industry is, and how possible it is to forge a
career for people from a wide range of backgrounds. More than a
quarter of our future leaders are female, many of whom having
reached senior roles at a relatively young age.
The supplement also looks at how
recruitment in leasing was affected by the recession, and what the
job market looks like today. For those starting their careers in
asset finance, or looking for the next move, which attributes are
valued by employers? What makes an employer attractive to the best
candidates? Training and graduate schemes are an important part of
the recruitment picture, and we also cover some of the industry’s
best graduate schemes.
The debate continues on 10 March,
at the Future Leaders in Leasing webinar, where we are joined by
veteran lessor Lindsay Town; human resources expert David Hudson of
Close Asset Finance; and Allan Ross, MD of First Independent
Finance, a certified Investor in People employee. Registration is
free to all on www.leasinglife.com.
