According to Mr Moi, even though the Italian leasing sector is
not expanding – it actually reported an overall contraction
following the credit crisis – there are opportunities of growth in
Germany and Eastern Europe, where Unicredit is one of the main
players.

Mr Moi said that in these areas Unicredit could increase its
market share and obtain an overall 10 per cent rise in its
turnover.
