Haakon Tiefner has been appointed as the new
regional head of sales and distribution for UniCredit Global
Leasing in Salzburg. He will be responsible for the automobile,
real estate and equipment leasing market sectors, as well as for
the supplementary services of construction and fleet management and
insurance. An Austrian national, Tiefner has worked at GiroCredit
Bank, Erste Bank SFinanzdienstleistungen. His most recent position
was as a project leader in the field of customer relationship
management at Plan Business where he worked with companies in the
UniCredit Group in Austria and Germany.
NETSOL TECHNOLOGIES
NetSol Technologies has appointed Jeff Andrews
as the director of Enterprise Services for the company’s Europe,
Middle East & Africa operations. Previously, Andrews held
several senior posts at major technology companies such as
Affiliated Computer Services and Virtusa Corporation. Prior to that
he worked for Wipro as the European sales director spearheading the
company’s growth in Europe from revenues of $7m in 1997 to over
$200m in 2002.

contractor working with Huntswood Outsourcing, has joined
Bridgingloans.com as compliance manager. He will be the new head of
the Compliance Division, which has been in place since 2004. He
will also act as a point of call for brokers and clients to ensure
that the company complies with the changes to the Consumer Credit
Act that came into effect this April.
ATS EUROMASTER
Steve Bury has joined ATS Euromaster in the new
position of head of national accounts. He will lead the National
Car and National Truck sales teams with responsibility for
increasing the company’s share amongst the major UK lessors as well
as large national fleets with multi-site operations. He joins from
Unipart Automotive where he was sales and operations director for
two-and-a-half years, prior to which he was national sales manager
at Autoglass for five years.
THE ALTA GROUP
The Alta Group (TAG) has appointed Steve
Robinson as a principal in its Europe, Middle East and
Africa region. He has worked in various senior management roles in
a number of major asset finance companies including De 
Lage Landen, CIT Group and Svenska Finans International.
His last role was managing director of the Asia Pacific region for
De Lage Landen. His appointment, as was that of Alun
Richards in June, is part of TAG’s current drive for
generational change, where the directors and leaders of banks,
leasing companies and manufacturers’ captives can deal directly
with consultants whose careers have developed within the same time
frame.
SIEMENS FINANCIAL SERVICES
Peter Austin, currently manager of Siemens
Financial Services’ (SFS) vendor finance business, has had the
title of general manager of Siemens Motor Contracts added to his
working brief. Prior to joining SFS he was dealer principal at West
London Audi, where he had overall responsibility for a business
that employed some 90 staff and turned over around £40m. He
replaces Richard Taylor who remains with the SFS business in a
senior management role. Kathryn Vassilissin has joined SFS as a
major account manager from the CF Group.
SALANS
Nick Ellis has joined Salans as part of its
Real Estate team. He will focus on real estate finance and real
estate law, and joins from Fladgate. He has extensive experience of
cross-border investment and joint ventures and has advised on
PFI/PPP projects in the UK, including the £2bn sale and leaseback
of HM Revenue and Customs estate.
1LINK HIRE NETWORK
Fred Stamp has been appointed as national sales
manager for the 1Link Hire network daily rental ecommerce platform.
He will target large rental users from the contract hire and
leasing, corporate, insurance and manufacturer segments of the
market. He has over 30 years experience in the daily rental sector
and held senior positions at Swan National, Hertz and Budget. Over
the last 16 years he has specialised in the development and
operation of manufacturer dealer-based rental programmes.
HANSA LIZINGS
Irina Pigozne has stepped down as director of
Latvia’s Hansa Lizings, the largest leasing company in the Baltic
state. She has been replaced by her former deputy Daniils
Rulovs, a spokeswoman for Hansabanka said. Hansabanka is
Latvia’s largest bank by assets.
LCI
Aircraft lessor Lease Corporation International (LCI) has
announced the appointment of Terri Griffiths as
its new general counsel. Based at LCI’s headquarters in Dublin,
Griffiths takes over responsibility for all of the legal aspects of
LCI’s purchase, finance, leasing and sale transactions, together
with all corporate activities globally. She will also work closely
with the legal team at LCI’s parent company, Libra Group Services,
in London.
GE CAPITAL SOLUTIONS GE
Capital Solutions has appointed Andrew
Stafferton as the group’s new marine industry leader for
Europe. Stafferton moves into the role following a stint as
marketing leader for GE’s European inventory finance arm. GE
Capital Solutions provides inventory finance floorplan solutions to
more than 50 manufacturers and 700 dealers throughout the marine
sector in Europe. He will be based at the company’s European
headquarters in Weybridge, Britain.
JCB FINANCE
John Heeps, a former territory manager covering
Stirling and Perth at the asset finance arm of Clydesdale bank,
last month joined JCB Finance. At JCB Finance he will work as
territory manager for parts of Scotland supporting the JCB
distributor Scot JCB. JCB Finance is 35 per cent owned by JCB and
65 per cent owned by Royal Bank of Scotland. Heeps will report to
the regional manager of JCB Finance for Scotland and the North West
of England.
