include commercial vehicles in its new Plan VIVE, which aims to
reverse the country’s steep decline in car sales by giving benefits
to those who buy or lease vehicles.
The body, which is equivalent to the SMMT in the UK, said that a
specific plan for commercial and industrial vehicles was necessary
to prevent a collapse within the CV segment.

It warned the government not to “miss the opportunity” to revive
the CV sector with a plan which should include aids to renovate the
fleet and make access to finance easier for small and medium-sized
businesses.
Spanish manufacturers added their concerns that the current
economic crisis will particularly damage the CV sector in Spain.
Only in October, new registrations fell by 50 per cent, and are
over 25 per cent down for the whole year.
