continued to plunge in October, with the truck market beginning to
follow the lead of ailing van sales volumes.
Commercial vehicle registrations for October were 31.1 percent
down compared to the same month in 2007, and were reduced 4.4
percent over the rolling year, to a total of 367,124.

The van segment last month saw a 35.2 percent decrease compared
to October 2007, and an 8 percent fall in registrations over the
rolling year to 257,809.
Trucks, meanwhile, saw a less severe decrease in October
registrations with only a 9.4 percent drop, but experienced a
greater deterioration over the rolling year, falling 20.7 percent
to a total of 58,272.
