The Polish leasing industry is experiencing a slowdown,
according to new figures released by the Polish Association of

The association estimated that year-on-year, the results in the
third quarter of 2008 were 10 percent lower than in 2007.

Despite optimistic forecasts made earlier this year, the
turnover of the top 25 Polish leasing companies amounted to just
over €6bn, indicating growth of no more than 8 percent.
The association indicated that this may be due to a delay in
investments from small and medium companies, as well as by problems
in the transport sector, where there have been several bankruptcies
recently.
However, experts claim that the fourth quarter may prove to be
better, and annual growth may still rise to 10-15
percent.
