Romanian leasing company, Credit Europe Leasing IFN has
announced a doubling in its share capital to €20m, via the issue of
new shares. The company used to be 99 per cent controlled by Dutch
Credit Europe Bank, prior to the capital increase.
It now aims to use the extra funding to finance more leasing
activities.

In 2007, Credit Europe Leasing IFN signed 3,200 leasing
contracts worth €204m, double on the previous year. Vehicle leases
accounted for 40 per cent of its portfolio; real estate leasing 32
per cent; and equipment leases 28 per cent.
Credit Europe Leasing IFN had a 4.1 per cent market share in the
Romanian leasing market in 2007, closing the year in the top 10 of
Romanian leasing companies.
It has offices in Brasov, Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, Iasi and
Timisoara.
