The leasing arm of the Romanian Development Bank – BRD Sogelease
– part of French banking giant Societe Generale (GSG), reported a
rise of 13 per cent to €135.8m year-on-year to the first six months
to June.

Commercial vehicle leasing accounted for 44 per cent of the
total value of the contracts signed by BRD Sogelease in the first
half of this year, and passenger car leasing for another 17 per
cent.
Leasing contracts for construction equipment made up 18 per cent of
the total value with industrial, medical and farm equipment
accounting for 17 per cent, and Information technology for three
per cent. Real estate leasing contracts held the balance of one per
cent.
BRD Sogelease is 99.96 per cent owned by BRD-GSG.
