The Norwegian Postal Service has signed a full-service leasing
contract for 907 new semi-trailers, bodies and trailers from Kögel,
the German trailer manufacturer.

The three year contract was signed for an undisclosed sum with
Ekeri – Kögel’s Nordic importer and service partner – despite
Kögel’s recent financial problems, which had led to it to recently
initiate insolvency proceedings.

Torleiv Brennhoyd from the Norwegian Post, said that Kögel and
Ekeri were selected for their “comprehensive range of
services”.

The 907-vehicle order covers refrigerated and box body vehicles
with and without folding walls, and curtainsiders. A large number
of the curtainsiders will also be suitably equipped to allow them
to be transported by rail, too.

The Norwegian Postal Service will use the trailers for its two
logistics divisions, Bring Logistics and Bring Frigoscandia, it
said.
