A new lessor, Comparecontracthire.com (CCH), has launched
in recent weeks with plans to target the sub-25 fleet sector.

with monthly prices on some 5,000 LCVs and cars from the UK’s
leading contract hire providers.
The aim is to further penetrate the SME commercial vehicle fleet
sector, around 50 per cent of which is dedicated to outright
purchase.
Robert Wastell, managing director of CCH, said larger lessors
have traditionally considered the sub-25 fleet sector “difficult to
get to” with the market tending to be dominated by brokers.
Early members of CCH’s funding panel include Arval, Hitachi
Capital, Masterlease, Fiat Auto Contracts and Alfa Romeo Contract
Hire. Advanced discussions are also taking place with other
funders.

four-year contracts, inclusive or exclusive of vehicle maintenance
and covering 10,000 or 20,000 miles a year.
The total SME sub-25 fleet sector of cars and light vans is
estimated to consist of between 500,000 and 750,000 vehicles. The
total fleet market comprises of sales of around 388,000 commercial
vehicles each year – some 87 per cent of which are light commercial
vehicles, with SMEs estimated at around 180,000.
CCH is targeted to receive some 100,000 visitors in year one and
is already registering an annualised visitor run rate of
40,876.
