The performance of the Italian leasing
asset-backed securities (ABS) market continued to deteriorate
during the first quarter of 2010, according to Moody’s Investors
Service.
Moody’s net default index increased by 0.3
percent to 2.8 percent in Q1 2010, the rating agency said. It added
that the delinquency trend declined, but it is still above last
year’s figure.

The agency recently placed six leasing
transactions on review for possible downgrade. The outlook for the
sector remains negative, Moody’s said.
