Leasint, the leasing arm of Intesa
SanPaolo, reported a 16.5 percent increase in net profits for
its first three quarters.

Leasint effectively became operative in January 2008 after the
merger of Intesa Leasing and SanPaolo Leasint, the leasing arms of
two major Italian banks. Therefore, the increase from last
year refers to the combined figures of the two companies
when they were still separate entities.
