Discussions on the role of leasing in building a "circular economy" will feature at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland this week.
In papers passed to Leasing Life, it is revealed that Mark Rutte, prime minister of the Netherlands, will discuss ideas for new systems of production; consisting of no-loss value chains, sharing and leasing; and structural incentives for circular systems.

Issues concerning finite resources, green policies, sharing and reducing wastage in the manufacturing chain have risen in importance as governments across the EU look to meet climate change targets set at the Kyoto summit.
Last month Leasing Life published an article from the Centre for Policy Studies on the sharing economy and a piece from DLL chief executive Bill Stephenson on the circular economy.
In his comment piece, Stephenson said: "More renewable energy usage and a smarter use of the planet’s resources is at the heart of the circular model, in which remanufacturing, recycling and reuse methods are adopted in greater number."
