LeasePlan has reported a continuing growth in the first half of
2008 despite challenging market conditions, with an increase of
profit from operations of 4.7 percent to €117.2m, compared to the
same period of 2007.

The Dutch-based company, which operates in the vehicle
management sector of thirty countries globally after it opened a
new branch in Mexico, has achieved a total of 1,362,000 cars under
its management, an increase of 47,000 units since 31 December 2007.
This includes the 20,000 vehicles purchased in France with the
acquisition from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services of its subsidiary
Daimler Chrysler Fleet Management.

Its lease contract portfolio grew by €557m, or 4 percent, to
€14.4bn since December 2007.
