according to Assilea, the country’s association for the leasing
industry.
The most recent figures show that the majority of leasing
contracts were done in the North–West part of the country, with
over 36 percent of the total amount.

Lombardia, the region that sorrounds Italy’s main financial city
of Milan, reached 28.1 percent of the market.
It was followed by Veneto, with 11.7 percent. Veneto and the
rest of the wealthy North-East of the country totalled 25.2
percent, while Rome and the surrounding region of Lazio reached
10.8 percent of new contracts.
Southern Italy, however, still lags behind, with an overall 11.2
percent.
