Italian lessor Banca Agrileasing is offering to support its
SME-sized customers wanting to expand their business activities in
Tunisia.

Earlier this month the company’s management team met in Rome
with the ambassador of Tunisia, Habib Achour, to discuss the
opportunities for Italian firms that look at leasing as way of
financing their activities in the North African country.

During the meeting, the ambassador said Tunisia was keen to
develop a “preferred channel” with Banca Agrileasing, giving the
lessor’s customers information about investment and business
opportunities in the country.

According to the lessor, the cooperation will focus on specific
projects, in particular within the agriculture and renewable energy
sectors.

The lessor – which is the leasing arm of Italian banking network
Credito Cooperativo (BCC) – opened an office in Tunis last
year.

Banca Agrileasing is Italy’s fourth largest leasing company.
Last year, it signed 14,356 contracts, totalling €2.22 billion in
new business.
