The Hungarian Leasing Association is developing a code of ethics
for the country’s equipment, real estate and commercial vehicle
lessors.
The code will oblige leasing companies to keep themselves to the
highest standards, the association said, by promoting fair and
responsible business activity, financial stability, professionalism
and fair advertising.

“Leasing companies that comply with the basic principles of the
code can use the association’s approved branding,” said Zoltán
Hordós, chairman of the association.
“It is supposed to help clients decide which company to choose
when they want quality service,” he added.
In addition, the code will create a “conciliatory service”
designed to address any complaints from lessors’ customers.
