Timms who previously worked as a broker for eight years, will oversee the bank’s asset finance team, managing deals ranging from £5k to £200k and will be responsible for expanding HTB’s broker network across the UK.

The bank said the appointment coincided with the bank reaching a milestone in lending, following the completion of over 500 HP & Leasing agreements since its inception in May 2014.

Timms said: "I am delighted to be joining the team at such an exciting stage in its development. The business has been growing quickly and I am looking forward to extending the HTB Asset Finance offer to a wider broker audience."

Last October the bank appointed Chris Welch and David Morris to head its asset finance and asset-based lending divisions.
