Hampshire Trust Bank has appointed Chris Welch and David Morris to head its asset finance and asset-based lending divisions, according to a statement from the bank.
The bank said managing director of asset finance Chris Welch had 30 years’ experience in the asset finance industry, previously leading both Sun Bank and Heritable Bank’s Asset Finance divisions. Welch will head up a team offering hire purchase and leasing finance for corporate and individual lending.

David Morris is heading up a specialist team offering structuring and asset-based lending in his role as managing director of commercial finance. Previously deputy director at the Bank of New York and GMAC Commercial Finance, Morris has nearly 35 years’ experience in commercial lending said the bank. Morris’s team has over 20 years’ of collective experience in commercial finance.
