Contract hire and rental specialist Fraikin
Ltd has appointed Peter Backhouse as its new CEO.
Backhouse replaces Laurent Bonnaure, executive
vice president international at Fraikin Group, who took on the role
of interim MD of Fraikin Ltd in October 2009.

This followed a nine year period in which John
Ball led the CV specialist, increasing the company’s fleet from
1,600 units to 15,000 vans and trucks today.
Backhouse’s experience includes 11 years in
senior positions with truck lessor Ryder. In his most recent
role he was MD of Bunzl Healthcare Ltd.
Commenting on the appointment, Bonnaure said:
“Peter’s wealth of industry knowledge and expertise makes him
ideally suited to lead Fraikin Ltd. The UK is a major region
for the Group and one in which we are targeting continued strong
growth.”
