The Finance and Leasing Association
(FLA) has appointed Julian Rose to fill its newly created post of
head of Asset Finance and Data Policy.  The FLA said this new
post will strengthen the association’s core staff resources devoted
to asset finance and leasing.  
 
Rose brings a wealth of experience to the role. He is an accountant
by training and most recently worked at the Financial Reporting
Council. His previous experience includes work for the Competition
Commission, and consultancy with KPMG and
PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
 
Rose will report directly to the director general, and will work
closely with the FLA’s principal consultant on business finance.

Among other responsibilities, Rose will take forward the FLA’s
review of its Business Finance Code to ensure that it remains fit
for purpose in a changing business environment.

He will also take a leading role in the FLA’s work to reduce
fraud, on the FLA’s VAT-related work, and on a variety of policy
and lobbying issues affecting the leasing and asset finance
industry.
