The Finance and Leasing Association
(FLA) has appointed Russell Hamblin-Boone to a new position as head
of communications, starting in January.

Hamblin-Boone will be responsible for all of the FLA’s internal
and external communications and will work closely with Stephen
Sklaroff, the director general of the FLA, promoting the economic
importance of the industry.

“I am delighted that Russell is joining the FLA, and I look
forward very much to working closely with him to deliver value for
our member companies,” said Sklaroff, commenting on the
appointment.

Hamblin-Boone is joining the FLA from the Energy Retail
Association (ERA), where he was the director of corporate
affairs.

Before working at the ERA, he worked at the British Retail
Consortium as head of public affairs; which he had joined from the
House of Lords, where he was a private secretary to the Leader of
the House of Lords and Minister for Women.
