showing that the outstanding loans and leasing contracts had a 0.5
percent increase in September, although the annual rate of growth
of the loan and leasing portfolio combined slowed down from 16
percent to 14 percent in the same month.
Most of the EEK 1.3bn (€83bn) growth was due to private loans –
both housing loans and student loans – while borrowing by business
was modest compared to the previous months and the corporate loan
portfolio expanded by only EEK 360 million (€23 million), or one
fourth of the total increase.
