“It was the right time to set up an indirect business model,”
said Chris Labrey, UK sales director at ECS. “Companies are
increasingly outsourcing parts of their IT business and there is a
space in the market for managed service contracts which we believe
we can fill.”
Although ECS works with a panel of funders, it also benefits
from the financial stability of Société Générale, its parent.
“This model has had much success in our Italian operation and we
are rolling it out across Europe. We were just waiting for the
right person to fit the role,” Labrey added.
Leading the ECS channel business will be Ian Irving, who was
previously a business development manager at Syscap, the
independent IT finance house.
