De Lage Landen, the pan European lessor, has launched a bid to
buyout Nordic lessor IT Finans AG.

Carlo van Kemenade, COO of De Lage Landen’s European operations,
made clear his plans to acquire the IT and office equipment
specialist in a statement released today.
He said: “Through this acquisition we can strengthen our
position in the Nordics as we will enlarge our market share
significantly.”
“We will also enlarge the footprint through an increase of the
number of offices,” he added.
The move follows De Lage Landen’s acquisition of Telia Finans AB
in early 2004 in order to expand its business and footprint in
Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.

IT Finans AS, a privately owned company established in 1998, has
branches in Oslo, Bergen and Stavanger. Since 2002 it has focused
on office equipment, but has also developed a market place in the
IT, agriculture, transportation and material handling sectors
