stepping up the amount it invests in asset finance with an
injection of capital into truck finance specialist Kamaz Leasing.
Commerzbank Eurasija, which according to 2005 figures then had
total assets of €858m, has loaned Kamaz €31m for two years at LIBOR
plus 1.75 per cent.

This is the first time international lenders have loaned cash to
Kamaz, which plans to establish a syndicate of funders, including
German bank Commerzbank, in 2009. Subsequently it expects to
receive a further €125m loan.
In October 2007 Kamaz had a leasing portfolio worth €402m,
revenues of €187m. In 2006 it signed 494 lease contracts.
Rosleasing has previously warned that independent leasing
companies will struggle to source investment, and “are not likely
to influence the market considerably”.
