North American lessor Merchants Leasing has
acquired the US arm of ALD Automotive, the Societe Generale-owned
fleet provider.
As a result of the transaction, Merchants will
acquire ALD Automotive’s US customer base and a fleet of some 3,300
vehicles.

ALD Automotive will continue to manage new
businesses and large operations on the American market through its
global commercial partnership with Wheels Inc. signed in 2009.
The deal between the Paris-headquartered
company and Merchants Leasing became effective on August 31,
2010.
