The average value of a light commercial vehicle (LCV) remained at near record levels in September, despite a slight drop compared to August’s values according to figures from British Car Auctions Pulse report.
The average LCV value in September was £5,560, up from £5,158 in the same month 2013, but down £98 compared to August 2014.

The only month with higher recorded values was May when the average value reached £5,587.
In September 2014 the average age of LCVs was 56.39 months compared to 59.33 months in the same period 2013, while mileage increased from 80,217 miles to 80,591 miles.
The average value of ex fleet and lease vans was £6,550, up from £6,408 in September 2013, despite the age remaining virtually flat (41.40 months down from 41.97 months), and the mileage increasing from 70,052 months to 72,953 months.
Part exchange LCVs also increased in value, up to £3,691 from £3,509 in September 2013. Milaege again increased, from 93,945 in the period 2013 to 95,981 in September 2014, and the age also increased, from 79.62 months to 81.09 months.
