TransLinc has won two new contracts to
provide vehicles and other services to county councils in
Lincolnshire and Barnsley.
The local authority fleet provider will
supply 49 Mitsubishi Canter box vans and tippers and four
Mercedes-Benz Axor tippers in a contract hire and maintenance
agreement with Lincolnshire Council’s highway division. In a
separate deal, vehicles, staff and training will be provided to
Barnsley Council.

For the Lincolnshire contract, TransLinc
has teamed up with infrastructure support company May Gurney for
the first time to help provide services such as road repairs,
dropped kerbs, potholes, fallen trees and accident and emergency
clear-ups.
All vehicles provided by TransLinc are
equipped with Cybit trackers, to ensure they can be quickly
dispatched.
The passenger services contract with
Barnsley Council comprises 15 Iveco vehicles and a team of 28
qualified personnel for the transportation needs of local residents
with learning disabilities and special needs.
TransLinc will operate the service with
wheelchair-accessible Iveco vehicles in three different
wheelbases.
