UK challenger bank Secure Trust Bank has appointed Graham Drew as managing director of asset finance and Arthur Burton as risk director for asset finance.

The appointments follow the launch of the bank’s asset finance division earlier this month, which aims to expand Secure Trust Bank’s business and commercial services.

Drew is joining the company from fellow challenger bank Shawbrook, where he held a partner manager role for more than two years. Previously he held senior roles at Credit Suisse, GE Capital Solutions and De Lage Landen International BV.

Drew said: "It’s an exciting time to be joining Secure Trust Bank. Although the business is in its early stages, it is already making a significant impact in the marketplace and I look forward to working with some of the most ambitious SMEs in the UK."

Burton has more than 25 years of experience in the industry. He was previously the head of credit & risk at Shire Leasing, prior to that he worked for Close Business Finance and ING Lease UK.
