Rob Carter, Greene King distribution centre manager, said the customised vehicles will make it easier for drivers to deliver product from Greene King’s distribution depot in Bury St Edmunds.
He said: “We chose Ryder because we wanted added features for our draymen; they listened to this and came back with a great solution.
“We have operated Daf vehicles for a number of years as we have always found them to be reliable and fuel efficient, and these particular vehicles have additional features that make it easier and safer for our dray drivers to off-load casks, kegs, and packaged drinks.”
John Murray, Ryder sales and marketing director, said: “We are very pleased to have secured this new contract with Greene King, and are proud to be working with an industry leader. We successfully identified specific requirements for Greene King’s new vehicles, working closely with Daf and Don-Bur to deliver a bespoke design solution that matched their operational needs.”
