The total value of finance provided by the Polish leasing sector increased by 15.7% in Q3 2015 compared to the same period last year, reaching PLN 35.9bn (8.48bn), according to Zwiazek Polskiego Leasingu (ZPL).
Vehicle leasing was the strongest segment of the market, with new leasing volumes increasing by 17.4% year-on-year to PLN 13.16bn in the third quarter of 2015.

Equipment leasing volumes increased by 13.7% over the same period, reaching PLN 11.89bn. In addition, heavy transport (airplanes, trucks and trains) new leasing volumes increased by 12.8% year-on-year to PLN 9.51bn.
ZPL surveyed a number of companies that it associates with on their expectations for the next quarter. 66% of respondents anticipated leasing volumes in equipment to grow in Q4 2015, of which 8% expected ‘significant growth’. Only 8% of the people surveyed expected a drop in volumes.
58% of respondents said that leasing volumes of light vehicles and heavy transport will grow over the last quarter of the year, with none of the respondents anticipating a fall.
