New faces at ASF

France’s leasing, factoring and consumer credit association,
Association Française des Sociétés Financières (ASF), has elected
Bruno Salmon as its new chairman.

Salmon, chairman of BNP Paribas
Personal Finance since 2008, replaces François Lemasson, who
becomes honorary president.

Four vice-presidents have also been
elected: Philip Dumont, MD of Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance;
Didier Hauguel, president of FranFinance, part of Société Générale;
Eric Spielrein, general secretary and member of the executive
committee at RCI Banque; and Thierry Willieme, president of GE
Capital France. Michel Cottet, MD of SIAGI, has been appointed
treasurer.

Other members recently elected include
Philippe Bismut, general director of BNP Paribas Lease Group; Henri
Doumerc, general director of Natixis Lease; and Olivier Toussaint,
general director of CAL&F.

New CEO at UniCredit
Leasing Romania

Antoaneta Curteanu has been appointed
as CEO of UniCredit Leasing Romania.

Curteanu, previously deputy director
of the corporate division of UniCredit Tiriac Bank, replaces
Andreas Obrist, who has been promoted to a co-ordination position
at regional level within UniCredit Group.

Rasvan Radu, CEO of UniCredit Tiriac
Bank, said: “Antoaneta Curteanu’s transfer from an executive
position at the bank to UniCredit Leasing is part of the
application of a strategy of synergy, growth and cross selling.
This nomination comes as a natural progression of a remarkable
career.” Curteanu has been at UniCredit since 1998.

 

CIT appoints HR
boss

SME finance provider CIT has appointed Lisa Zonino as its global
head of human resources, reporting to the company’s CEO John
Thain.

She will be responsible for CIT’s
“human capital strategy”, including developing and implementing
global employee programmes, policies and benefits initiatives.

Prior to joining CIT, Zonino led the
global risk practice for executive research firm Egon Zehnder
International, where she was responsible for recruiting and talent
assessment in the financial services sector.

 

Interim CFO to
Northgate

Northgate, the light commercial vehicle hire specialist, has
appointed Deborah Stevenson as its interim CFO.

Stevenson, who qualified as a
chartered accountant with KPMG, will have responsibility for the
company’s finance department and report to Bob Contreras, who was
appointed CEO in June.

Over the past 12 years, Stevenson held
a number of interim senior finance roles across a variety of
industries.

The company said that Stevenson will
“lead the debt refinancing discussions at the appropriate time”,
after which Northgate will undertake a search for a permanent group
financial director.

 

McNeil back to Leasedrive
Velo

Roland McNeil has rejoined the rental management division of
Leasedrive Velo with responsibility for a number of UK accounts
including a major central government contract.

McNeil had worked for the lessor
between 2003 and 2007. Leasedrive Velo is also recruiting for two
business development managers to strengthen its rental
business.
