Metro Bank has appointed Alec Viney as commercial banking director, responsible for business customers in the south east of England.
Viney has over 25 years’ experience in the industry, and previously worked at HSBC as a commercial relationship director. He will join Metro Bank’s large commercial banking team, which was launched in January.

Viney said: “Having learnt about the bank’s vision and commitment to customer service, I knew this was a place where I wanted to work.

He will report to Andy Veares, director of large commercial banking, and be based at Metro Bank’s location in Eastbourne, Kent.
