Richard Hemsley has been appointed managing director of Lombard, the Royal Bank of Scotland-owned asset finance company.
Hemsley will start on 2 September and takes over from Alex Baldock who left the company in June last year.

Lombard has been led by Ian Isaac in an interim managing director post since March following the departure of Andy Hart, also in the position on an interim basis.
Hemsley is currently chief logistics officer for RBS International Banking and has worked in the RBS group for 30 years. He has held a variety of roles in the group’s Retail Banking and Corporate Banking divisions.
In 2000 he became head of Lending Operations for Group Manufacturing and in 2004 he was appointed director of Group Security & Fraud before becoming managing director of Manufacturing Operations in 2005.
