Laura Roberts, Liberty Leasing’s legal director, has been nominated for a credit industry award for the second time in a row.
Roberts, who has been working in financial services since 2005, mostly in asset finance, who was nominated for an award last year is up for the ‘Business leader of the year- Creditor’ category at this year’s Women in Credit Awards.

The Women in Credit Awards were created to highlight the successes of women throughout the credit and financial services industry and are sponsored by the Chartered Institute of Credit Management
Roberts said: “I am very honoured to have been nominated for the second time in the business leader of the year – creditor category.
“The ethos behind the awards and its aim, to draw attention and celebrate the achievements of women in our industry, is wonderful.”
Beginning her career as a legal assistant, she qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and worked her way up to head of legal, then moving to Liberty Leasing as legal director in 2015.

The awards form part of ‘credit week’, a five-day event for professionals in the financial services industry which includes conferences, networking events and a gala dinner.
The event will be held at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in London on 19 March.
